Jasmine Raisbeck for Merci Maison: "Remnants - Chapter 3"
A self-taught artist from Perth, Jasmine's multi-disciplinary practice includes painting, sculpture, and ceramics - mediums that give her opportunities to connect with her body in a meditative and calming state.
In her current body of abstract work, within the three artworks produced for 'Artist In Residence', Jasmine explores the relationship between shapes, pattern and texture to create 3D works, or 'wall sculptures', complimenting the curves of Merci Maison's Bello Frame.
Heavily inspired by mid-century wall murals, Jasmine experiments with a range of media to create works that are architectural, yet lightweight for their scale. She often uses recycled materials - such as polystyrene from packaging waste - to build her sculptures, breathing new life into items that would otherwise be discarded.
All 3 artworks from the series are designed to either be purchased as a trio or to sit individually.
All works have been photographed in studio lighting and we endeavour to show their true colours as accurately as possible. Please keep in mind though that computer, tablet and phone screens can all vary in colour representation. We are more than happy to send through extra images before you make a purchase, please email us via firstname.lastname@example.org
