Founded in 2019 by Jade Yarbrough and Danielle Robertson, Sydney-based Merci Maison is an artful collision of interiors, homewares, and objet d’arts.

Yarbrough and Robertson (interior designer and e-commerce specialist, respectively) have long understood how influential the emotional connection to home can be for its inhabitants. Part design studio, part digital retail atelier, Merci Maison was conceived to offer the pair’s discerning clientele a fresh perspective on interior spaces.

“We started out designing spaces for select clients, and were frequently asked to create custom pieces to complement the styling. We quickly realised there was a gap in the Australian market for our brand of timeless yet inimitable furnishings and accessories – the kind that really push the boundaries on the accepted design norms and conventions. It made sense to expand our offering and bring our curation to a broader, likeminded community.”

The result is an alchemy of refined minimalism and raw, organic forms, a blend which shapes Merci Maison’s range of interior design services, custom and pre-loved furnishings and bespoke lighting and accessories.

Inspired by the founders’ mutual love for both vintage and contemporary design, the brand is imbued with a unique, European-style sensibility. Each piece (whether a Paris flea-market find or one-of-a-kind commission) is intended to be both reflective and invigorating, able to exist in harmony with its surrounds.

With a focus on impeccable details, polished construction, exceptional materials and uncompromising quality, Merci Maison’s collections and products are brought to life in intentionally small-batch production runs, encouraging conscious consumption and sustainable manufacturing practices.
